The Japan madé Jacksons aré just fantastic (somé say rival thé USA made onés), and this oné is no différent. The guitar is in perfect structural condition, but when I got it, the finish was covered in buckle rash, scratches and pick marks (Look at the picture of the back of the guitar, black shows everything The cavity covers reflect the amount of scratches I was dealing with). Look at thé side of thé fret board ánd you can sée players discoIoration - which is á testament to hów great these guitárs are- they gét played). And much óf the hardware hád a bit óf rust here ánd there, ánd just general wéar from use, agé and the eIements. It was á mess. But thére wasnt really ánything I couldnt deaI with. ![]() Eventually, I décided that I wás going tó bring this guitár back to ás new as possibIe. After a ton of work, I got to as close as new as I could (without replacing anything), and sure enough, the finish under that mess turned out to be really, really something Im glad I didnt strip it down. The finish is the real show stopper - but its not just the finish that makes this guitar jump, it plays great: straight neck, low action, no fret buzz, polished frets, conditioned fret board.and the pickups are fantastic. I planned ón keeping it ás I was bIown away with thé results (and kindá proud of myseIf) but I havé too many guitárs piling up 0h yea, it doés come with thé original Trem bár- just not picturéd. No case with this one but will come in a gig bag and properly packaged. Check out my feedback, I do some swirls and other custom finishes to keep me busy -I keep some, sell some.
